Full-stack software engineer who builds and runs production Laravel apps: Zenndustry, an EVE Online industry planner; Zennlogs, a Guild Wars 2 combat log analyzer; and this site. I set the architecture and specs, use AI coding agents to implement in parallel, and own correctness through code review, automated tests, headless test harnesses and CI. At IGT I shipped C# and Unity games in large, long-lived codebases and built internal tools. From 2007 to 2020 I co-founded and helped run ZaReason, a Linux computer company: Linux systems, X-Cart web development and customer service.
Experience
Independent Software Developer
2026 – Present · Lapeer, MI
Designing, building and running my own production Laravel web apps.
Zenndustry: an EVE Online industry planner with EVE SSO, JWT verification, encrypted per-character tokens and ESI API integration
Zennlogs: a combat log analysis site with browser uploads, SHA-256 deduplication, background parsing jobs that run a .NET parser, and a dependency-free ES-module front end
Cut PHP memory for a 40 MB log from about 420 MB to 90 MB, and wrote a one-command Ubuntu VPS setup for nginx, PHP, .NET, queue workers and cron
Rebuilt korym.com in Laravel 13, with PHPUnit feature tests run by GitHub Actions CI

EVE SSO
EVE ESI API
A web app for running an EVE Online industry operation. You sign in with EVE SSO, link your alts, and it reads their assets, blueprints and jobs through ESI to plan what to build and how.
Fit planner: paste a ship fit and get every base material needed to build it, expanding hull, modules, T2 components and reactions with real ME, structure bonuses and batch sizes
"What can I make?" checks the materials at a location against every blueprint you own and builds a shared plan ranked by estimated profit
Sell-or-reprocess calculator using your skills, implants, facility, tax and live trade-hub order books
Run calculator, facility and rig bonuses, and an industry jobs view for every linked character
EVE SSO with JWT verification, encrypted per-character tokens, character-transfer detection, and blueprint data imported from CCP's Static Data Export

Elite Insights
Raiders upload their arcdps combat logs in the browser. A queue worker parses each one with the Elite Insights .NET parser and the site groups them into raid-night reports you can dig into, from squad DPS down to a single player's rotation.
Fight pages for damage, damage taken, healing, boons, conditions, deaths, mechanics and casts, plus rank percentiles against every logged kill by the same spec
An animated top-down combat replay with players, boss facing, downs, deaths and trails at 0.5x to 8x speed
Front end is a dependency-free ES-module single-page app with its own small SVG chart library, no build step
Upload deduplication by SHA-256, background parsing jobs, and a JSON slimmer that cuts PHP memory for a 40 MB log from about 420 MB to 90 MB
WvW reports that group a night's fights into a rally, with enemy comp, the skills that hit the squad and boon uptime by party

Leadership
Raid Leader, WildStar and Guild Wars 2
About 8 years
Earned the trust of a 20-player volunteer team: voted in as an officer, then entrusted with leadership when the previous leader stepped down
Coordinated 20 people in real time under pressure
Balanced members' schedules and expectations to keep volunteers committed
Kept the team together for about eight years, including a move from WildStar to Guild Wars 2
Eagle Scout Project Lead, Boy Scouts of America
Built a computer lab for a high school in need.
Organized a team and collected community donations of old and broken computers
Rebuilt the donated machines into working systems
Delivered a working computer lab to the school
Games
Designed and specced by me, built with AI coding agents, and verified with automated and headless tests.
A single-player space sandbox in the spirit of EVE Online. You fly by giving orders (approach, orbit, align and warp), fit ships with high, mid and low slot modules, mine, trade and fight across a living galaxy.
155 star systems in 22 regions, 118 of them generated from a fixed seed, with security levels and stargates
About 360 simulated pilots who mine, haul, hunt and trade, getting real ships when they share your system
EVE-style combat model: optimal range, falloff, tracking and transversal velocity
Overview, brackets, target locking, context menus and an autopilot
Raids, walkable station interiors and a tactical overlay
Ore prices that move as players and AI pilots sell
The Hardware Store
First-person store simulator
Godot 4.7
GDScript

Steam Deck
Run a small-town hardware store where every product comes from "Weird Al" Yankovic's song "Hardware Store". Order stock, price it, fill the shelves, ring up customers and count out change by hand, then grow the shop across 47 levels.
Wrenchport, a full island town with traffic that obeys stop signs and junction right-of-way, and townspeople who cross at crosswalks, sit in the park and swim at the beach
Customer AI that paths around any shelf layout the player builds, reacts to prices and queues at checkout
Hireable cashier and stocker staff, marketing campaigns, supplier shops around town and a jukebox rhythm minigame
Troublemakers (shoplifters, vandals, hecklers) you deal with using a bat
Original procedurally written music, full controller support and a Steam Deck graphics preset
Built-in balance, traffic and gameplay test modes that run headless
A sci-fi take on RuneScape: gather, craft and level dozens of skills, then fight with WildStar and Path of Exile style action combat where enemies paint telegraphs on the ground and your abilities aim at the cursor.
Skills, quests, gear and four-ability weapon styles, with a skill compendium and in-game guides
Telegraphed enemy attacks, dodge with invulnerability frames and multi-phase bosses
Player market with buy and sell orders and live price history
Towns, villages and a world map with teleport waypoints
Runs on desktop, natively on Steam Deck and on Android phones, with a HUD that adapts to each
Every model generated from Blender scripts so the art can be rebuilt at any time

Ammo Sorter for Into the Radius 2
A buildable ammo sorting machine for the VR survival shooter
Lua
UE4SS
Unreal Engine
Python
A sorting machine you buy in the in-game store, carry home in a crate and unpack wherever you want it. Drop a mixed pile of loose rounds into the hopper and it sends each one down a conveyor into its own bin by caliber and variety, so you never hand-sort ammo again.
Real store item: it shows up in the cart and on the purchase screen and is paid for at the terminal, done by taking over an unused test-item row in the game's item table at runtime
VR placement: hold the crate, aim a see-through outline that turns blue or red for fit, twist your wrist to rotate, and pull the trigger to build it
Put an ammo box on a shelf and matching rounds go straight into it, or hold a box up to a bin to scoop its rounds in
A companion ammo pouch you fill with loose rounds, pour out by turning it upside down, and clip onto your rig
An offline simulation of the game API in Lua with 26 checks, and Python tools that read Unreal IoStore archives to build a pak with genuinely new items
A vertical slice that recreates the feel of WildStar's combat and zone design with all-original art and setting: telegraph combat, six classes and a build-your-own action bar that sets your role.
Third-person sci-fi survival with action-MMO combat, a buildable orbital ship hub, realistic materials processing and co-op.
EIHG: Every Indie Horror Game · Godot 4.7
A parody that stitches indie horror tropes into one short game: a looping hallway, weeping-angel statues, a night shift with animatronics and ten Backrooms levels. All art is primitives and all sound is synthesized in code.
